Sunday Social

I made mom write the last post and take the picture but her camera ran out of battery....atleast that is what she said! She is out today so thought I would take a couple of pics while the BOSS is gone. Mom is wrapping the rug and putting in cording. She is using strips of the red wool to do the wrapping. We decided on cording just in case it would end up on the floor. I also took a picture of the sheep close up so you can see how the yarn worked. We were very happy with the results. Mom has done an excellent job on the rug and in a very short time. Way to go Mom.

YAH! Finished!

These snowy days have certainly been condusive to rug hooking. So--many days on the couch and many football and basketball games later "Sunday Social" is finished--well, almost. Now I wait for Beth to steam it and then I will completely finish the project. I used different yarns to hook the sheep and I'm quite pleased with that look.

Snow Day II

This is Sam's chair pad. He did a little bit of hooking and I left that in the project. He was only 7 years old when he drew his design out. These are not perfect but oh so sentimental. The kids picked the colors and it was ALL scraps. NO one is allowed to sit on Sam's chair pad.......ask Grandma! They are very protective/proud of their work!

Snow day project

When Drew was 9 years old we had a snow day from school. I sat down to work on MY project and all 4 of my children wanted to hook too. The project was to trace around a charger plate and then they had to draw themselves. 2 of the 4 chair pads are hooked. This is Drew's I am almost done hooking it. The kids are sooo proud of their chair pads!! Drew is now 14 and is anxiously awaiting for me to finish!!!

If you can't beat them you might just as well join them.....

Welcome to our blog! We have been tossing around the idea of a blog and finally sat down and got to work. We want to share with you all the creative things that happen in our shop. We look forward to this new adventure. Please be patient with us.
