Finishes

Just wanted to share two of my recent finishes. Spiral chair pad as was featured on Karen Kahle's blog spot.

The other chair pad was from a class I took a couple years ago. The technique was from a lady in Nebraska.

Don't they look good on my chair? Feels good to finish something! :)

Happy Good Friday

30 minutes?

Good snowy day to you. It's an early out for school today. We received 4 inches of snow and 30 mile an hour winds! Guess its our lucky day. ;)

I bought myself this cute little owl timer from the shop where my daughter Natalie works (Sugar Bowl). I decided I wanted something to help me hook a little each day.....30 minutes. It's amazing how fast the time flies. Really, it went fast. 30 minutes is better than no minutes. Right?

Have you done your 30 minutes or 10 strips of wool? There is time left in the day. I'm challenging you today. Are you up for it?

Happy Hooking!

Finished Projects

Turby stopped by the other day with some finished projects.
The first picture is a pair of rugs she designed herself. Turby finishes a project and then uses her leftovers to create her own designs...clever.
The second picture is a rug called Grandma's House by Ewe and Eye (That's us). ;)
We always love to see finished projects!

Dad received his complimentary copy of Judy Condon's new garden book. We have ordered our copies and are waiting for their arrival! I can't wait to get my very own. We will have signed copies at the shop. Don't know about you but I'm ready for spring. The book retails for $24.95.

Creative use of time

I picked this book up at a quilt shop called Rosebuds Cottage. It's called Creative Thursdays by Marisa Anne. As I have been traveling back and forth from Florida I have been reading it. The art work I love but the content really hits home. If you struggle with thinking your creativity is not good enough you need to read this book. It puts everything into perspective. I can't wait to put the ideas into place.
What a great way to be inspired creatively!
