Spending some unexpected time in Pensacola! Jenny broke her scaphoid bone located in the wrist. Her surgery was this morning at 7:00 a.m. at the Andrews Institute in Gulf Breeze, Florida. This is a place where some of the professional football players have had great success with their surgery. We feel blessed that she was in good hands. We are now praying for the bone to heal so a second surgery is unnecessary.

Love Winter?
I wanted to share with you a little something that Mom made for Dad for Valentine's Day.
This was Mom's own personal design.
As one lady put it, "Love Winter? I sure hope you do it's here!"
We had a good chuckle........she really didn't get it! :)
Mom put her binding on the same time that she wrapped the rug! I don't know if any of you have done this but it isn't easy.
I took a picture of the back because Mom did such a great job!
Nice finish Mom!!

Sixteen on Center
Good Morning to all of you.
It has been somewhat of a slow start here in northern Iowa as we had some freezing precipitation last night and this morning.
Thought I would share with you the latest happenings in our household.
We have another graduation coming this May and always try and get a few household fixes/remodels taken care of.
Well, I have had ONE outlet in my "room" for a VERY long time. I decided it was about time that I get organized and get my "poop in a group" as my youngest would say.
I won't go into all the detail as to the exact way this project got started (it might make me look bad). :)
Needless to say, my "room" has now grown to insulating, wiring and sheet rocking the rest of the basement.
I just wanted 4 walls and some outlets!!
This is my room and it is rather large 24 x 16. Dare I say almost too big?
I got this hair-brained idea that it CAN'T be that hard to mud and tape...........well, if you hold your tongue just right it's not too bad.
I watched a you-tube video and dug in......yes, I did NOT tell my husband....... for the obvious reasons!!
I did 1 coat on the largest wall and then waited for the critique.
I guess I did okay as I got the go-ahead to move forward. Should I be proud? I think not. My husband was MORE than happy to hand over the tools, mud and tape!
This morning I did an inside corner and put the second coat on two walls. FYI to self...............don't drink A LOT of coffee before mudding...........it's hard to have a steady hand. :)
As the project progresses I will show you more pictures.
I still have to decide what color to paint the room and how to organize it.
If you have any suggestions please feel free to let me know. This is the first time I have ever had a "studio" of my own.
P.S. Since starting this project I know how to wire an outlet and mud and tape walls BUT under no circumstances for hire!!
